Why is this happening?

The United States Congress created and the President signed a new bill called the "Credit Card Act of 2009". This also affects open-end loans.

Why is my loan due date being changed to the 28th?

The borrower must be notified at least 21 days in advance of the actual payment due date.  Statements are mailed the 3rd of each month, moving the due date to the 28th of each month allows the proper notification to the member.

How will this change affect the amount of interest due on my loan?

Interest on your loan accrues daily. If you continue to make your payment as before, there should be no change in the interest collected over the course of the loan.

The passage of the Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 required NCUA to immediately increase share insurance protection up to $250,000.00 for deposit held in NET Federal Credit Union until December 31, 2013.  Retirement accounts like IRA’s are separately insured up to $250,000.00.

Coin Counting Machine

Now at NETFCU we have for your convenience a coin counting machine!  You no longer have to wrap your coin.  Both Scranton and Olyphant offices have these machines available.  Just drop in your coin and the machine will count it and then provide you with a receipt to take to a teller.  There are no fees for a member; however a non-member will be charged a minimal fee.

For those times when you are away from NET's locations you may access the funds from your account, make loan payments, transfer funds and make deposits at participating credit unions.  To find a Shared Branch Service near you, click on the box above, then enter the city and state or the zip code to obtain the locations.

NET does not act as a service center for these other credit unions.  Participating credit unions will have a limit on withdrawal amounts.  Checks deposited at Shared CU Centers will be placed on HOLD and funds will not be immediately available in your account.
